Looking for opinions on the PSA lower receiver.  They have one for sale that is a Blem, which they say is cosmetic.  But how does their lower compare to Aero's lower receiver?

They are fine, built many never found the bless

They are go to go. As long as a part does what it is suppose to, it's just as good as the same part costing five times as much, except that you don't get the privilege of criticizing those who build budget weapons.

Mine has some tool marks on the underside of the trigger area, but aside from that it's fine.

ETA: Poor quality pic, but here it is.

PSA blem lowers are fine.  Their black anodizing has a little rougher texture than that on the Aero lowers; which isn't a bad thing.

The Aero lowers are a little nicer, in that they come with a threaded hole for the rear detent spring which allows you to capture it using a 4-40 X 1/8" set screw.
They also come tapped and equipped with a polymer-tipped tension screw, so you can eliminate any slop in a loose-fitting upper.

You really can't go wrong with either set, so it boils down to personal preference.

Odds are it will be as close to perfect and normal as anything else sold by any other company, regardless of price.  The worst PSA "blem" I've ever seen with my own eyes required very bright sunlight to see a "slight" color difference compared to the upper-receiver.  If I ever needed another lower, I'd buy one again without hesitation.  Just one man's opinion and experience.

I would rate PSA lowers as higher in quality than Oly Arms but somewhat lower than Noveske.

Built no less than 6 rifles on PSA blems. Every one went together perfectly and drops any magazine I put in them. They are "medium" tight to most uppers- not Aero or Rock River tight, not DPMS or Bushmaster loose.....Used to buy them for $49 and they were a real bargain as good as most and better than quite a few.

I have used several (>10) lowers from PSA.  Some blem, some not.  Never had a problem with any and never really noticed any blems.

I recently purchased the Moe assembled lower blem.  Functionality wise, it's excellent, the blem with mine is the overall color, kind of a purple/dark gray.  Normally a minor color variance isn't an issue for me, but this one is rather bad so it's probably going to be a cerekote project.

Exactly the same here.  Mine came and it was basically gray.  I don't know what's going on over there with this batch but I rather have a couple scratches than this.

Went ahead and ordered my PSA lower and picked it up today.  Fortunately, I can not find anything wrong with it.  Color looks fine as well.

EDIT: Next day, I just added my Aero upper to the PSA lower and now I can see a slight difference in color.  The Aero is a true black while the
PSA lower is just a little off.  Guess that's the blem.
