I have a Vltor emod stock on one lower.   I used it this weekend on a varmint hunt and really felt that I should have a bit longer length of pull, especially when firing prone.  At one point it must have got bumped or something and it moved in to the 5th notch, I could not get away from scope shadow.  It took me a while to figure out the darn thing had moved.  Even in the 6 position it almost to short for me.   I have the scope in a Larue QD cantilever mount and as far forward on the receiver as it can go, with the scope as far forward in the mount as possible.  The eye piece is just slightly forward of the charge handle.

I'd like to put a fixed stock on this rifle - it's a 20" rifle with scope.  There is no need for a collapsable stock.  I'm building a new lower for this rifle and need a stock - Lower is a no-logo billet lower with a BCM LPK in it.  The trigger will be a Geissele SSA-E trigger.  The trigger from the BCM kit will go into a different lower.

LOP is about 14-5/8 now with the emod at position 6.

As I understand it A1 or A2 stocks use a rifle extension and buffer.  I like the Magpul PRS, but I'm not inclined to spend that kind of money on a stock.  The Magpul MOE rifle stock seems like an option as well.

Suggestions?

The LOP on the fixed Magpul stock is listed at 13.5.

Which LaRue mount do you have?  Is it the extended model (LT139) or the normal (LT104)

That looks nice, from the website they have a QD sling mount option as well.

Luth-AR MBA-1, adjustable for LOP and cheek riser, uses A2 extension w/o the spacer

No experience with the Luth or Ace, but I have the MOE Rifle Stock, as is, I find it the perfect LOP for me. Magpul does have spacers, but not sure how much they can add.

Not the greatest photo, but I like the RRA A2 Operator fixed stock. The buttplate has a latch that allows it to slide down, exposing two SOPMOD-like storage tubes accessible from the rear. And as you can see, there are lots of options for QD sling mounts.

Ordered the Luth today.  Looking forward to it.

i like the flat area on the bottom of the stock.  It should be a bit easier to rest on a rear bag than some of the others.

I dig those.  I think I want to build a 20" pencil barrel with one as kind of an undated A1.... "A1-2000?"

The Vitor A1 mod stock is still the best.

Agree. A bit pricey these days, but a hugely underappreciated stock.
