What causes trigger slap?

Last week I was shooting my AR-15, in .300 BO,  and noticed that the trigger was slapping back at my finger after I’d fired a round.

I’ve not experienced that before.  I’ve heard about in on AK’s most often, but rarely if ever on ARs.

What causes it, and what can I do to stop it?

It’s a standard lower, Bushmaster style, factory trigger, and a H2 buffer.

Thanks,

If you hold the trigger long enough the horn on the back of the hammer has to push past the disconnector forcing it back and compressing its spring. Maybe the disconnector spring is installed backwards with the big end up instead of down inside at the bottom of the trigger. Only other thing I know would be some part of the trigger group being out of spec.. If the disconnector can not move back enough to allow for the hammer to pass something else has to move like the trigger.
