Have any of you bought the UTG Fixed Stock assembly?
I am a little weary of UTG's quality when it comes to other things like their detachable carry handles.
I am building an M16A4 clone and may use this for the stock.
What are your ideas and alternatives?

I have one. It's fine. I've used the UTG A2 stock and the UTG collapsible stock. Both are fine. The plastic is fine. The buffer tube is fine. The springs and buffer are fine too.

It's worth the price paid for it.

I've put two of them on budget builds when they were on sale for $49, no complaints. They work. I figured at this price point the meat tenderizer buttplate would be plastic, both of mine are metal.

I did add the el cheapo Amazon rubber A2 buttpad to one of them, works fine but the profile is just a little off.

Next cheapest A2 stock & buffer tube assembly I found was just under $100.

I used one in FDE for my pseudo A4 build, it works great.

My only complaint was they come assembled and they need to get a smaller monkey to tighten the screw.  Mine was terribly tight to the point I messed up the screw head a little getting it apart to put it on the rifle.

After that it works nice and looks nice, AR#2 will get the same stock.
