Good morning,
New member here and just purchased my first AR, Daniel Defense V11 SLW in Tornado, very sweet gun. I wanted to see what the over all opinion was of anyone who owns a Daniel Defense or has shot one with the stock trigger? I really like it but I have never shot anything but stock triggers in my guns or my friends. I see a lot of posts on here about upgrading the trigger and was wondering why that is? Thanks, |

Thanks, Schmidt tooling is the company they get their blanks from. They are generally known as a top notch company with knights, colt, spikes, white oak, ALG, and BCM all using their blanks for their mil spec triggers. That being said it is a mil spec trigger which is designed for reliability and safety of carry, not for crispness or target shooting. |

Thanks, If you want to know why so many people uograde their triggers, buy a Geissele SSA-E to try for yourself and report back. |
| I have a DDM4v7 LW, and the stock trigger was actually plenty good for my needs. The stock trigger was actually quite crisp, not really heavy; I could hit with it no problem. That said, the Geissele curiosity got me, bought and SSA, and I never went back. I put an SSA-E in my recent build, and it's even better than the SSA. |

I'm going to give mine a chance to break in a little before I look at replacing it... However a friend has a Geissle on theirs and it is night a day difference I think that's a very good idea. There are a lot of good shooters who do great work with stock triggers. You can always upgrade later. |
