I'm looking to get a couple RE's to go with a couple lowers I have collecting dust, just to try and complete the lower (don't really have any build plans right now).  I see DD's tubes are a fair amount cheaper than say LMT and Vltor.  Anything different about them?  Where I was looking doesn't say what they are made of, but I can't imagine they wouldn't be 7075.

I recall that the DD receiver extensions are 7075. I have experience with one having a good finish and machined to spec (good fit with stock, receiver threading, and securing half of the shoulder of the buffer retainer when assembled).

I also don't know for sure, but I don't think I'd believe somebody if they were to tell me DD uses a 6061 RE. I'm sure it's 7075.

How much? I use BCM tube kits  on every lower I have. Aim has them for $60 shipped. But if DD was the same price or less I would for sure use them.

DD promises that all of their parts meet or exceed military specifications, so there is no way that it isn't 7075.

I looked on DD's website (duh, why didn't I think of that earlier?), and they state 7075.

$31 @ DSG, but I see they are now backordered.  This is just the tube, but LMT & VLTOR run about $45.

I am awash in carbine springs, but I guess I'll need buffers and the castle nut and receiver plates, so it might be even with BCM.

About 5 or 6 of mine are assembled with them.  Good value when DSG has them on sale

7075 and the other parts are there too.

I usually just pick up a PSA lower build kit minus the FCG. They come with the receiver extensions and LPK, and together the package is usually'rights on par with the $60 kit from BCM.

Well, that was too good to pass up... so I bought two.  Thanks for posting that, I've never bought from them but we'll give it a try.  I needed a few other spare small parts, so it works out.  I'd probably rather have DD or VLTOR, but in all liklihood these are just going to sit in the safe, so I just want them complete in case... whatever, I guess.  2016 is coming.

I normally buy Vltor buffer tubes for all of my builds, but I recently grabbed 2 of these Anderson tubes for builds where the buffer tube is getting cerakoted.  The specs read well (7075 and 6-position) and I don't care how the anodizing looks since it's getting painted anyways.  Granted my sample is small, I haven't been disappointed yet with my Anderson tubes, especially given they're only $14.99.
