I have a Colt Diemaco complete upper. It is a 14" upper. Is this rare or anything special?

Not particularly special.
My Colt MT6400C purchased in 2002-2003 had a Diemaco upper. It was identical in form fit and function to any of the other Colt flattop uppers I've seen.
