Looking at changing out the buffer tube on my m&p15. Any ideas on a good mil spec 5 or 6 position buffer tuber that's still highly affordable? I'm a poor college kid. Haha. The one I'm changing out is one position(it came on a compliant rifle) so I'm looking at getting a 5 or 6 position

x2. If it isn't broke don't fix it.

what's wrong with the buffer tube you already have? That's an odd item to want to change out.

If you are a poor college kid.  Leave it alone.  There is nothing wrong with the stock unit.

Brownell’s has one I can’t tell from much higher dollar units.
That does seem a strange place to go when strapped for cash.

Why are you changing what should be a  milspec buffer tube for another milspec buffer tube?

I went to Brownell's for 7075 Buffer Tube Kit. Included M4 (no name) stock, spring, tube and carbine buffer for $50. This was back in June, 2014.

I've seen lower "Stock Kits" from PSA(Palmetto State Armory) for around $39, but they're usually sold out----when you need them. Might give them a try for the individual parts at a good cost if you can't find a kit.

I just picked up a BCM with M4 stock for under $70

This is a good deal and the extension is 7075-T6.
