Which is more cost effective in the end? Im wanting a 14.5" pinned/welded upper using a Surefire procomp 556 brake, BCM Kmr 13" rail and a lo pro gas block. Im not sure if I should buy a PSA upper and have it sent to adco, buy a stripper upper, barrel and build it from scratch, or buy a BCM upper. This will be a shooter/ home defense gun

Personally, I'd buy the BCM upper with the SF-MB installed. With the free BCG and fact that it's a one-stop shop, so you will have it in hand sooner rather than later. You also have the option with BCM for several lightweight barrel options (CHF LW, light weight, or fluted light)

I decided to build from scratch but I wish I had went with a BCM upper with the free BCG, plus you'll probably end up pay more in the long run depending on how much shipping is

After running some numbers I think this would be the cheaper option.
