hi guys,
found a deal on primary arms for a fail zero bcg $40 off (now $109). the guy at the gun store was telling me failzero and LMTare the only bcg he would pay more for. does anyone has expreiecnce with it? https://www.primaryarms.com/Fail_Zero_M16_Basic_Kit_EXO_Bolt_Carrier_Group_N_p/009-fzm16-4-01-nh.htm i want to have one spare SHTF bcg in light of what happened in furgueson and ya know, ZOMBIES!!!! lol also, if stag arms bcg are HPT, MPI and made by the same type of steel as someone like BCM or Colt, what makes the higher end ones worth the extra money? 2000 rounds in and no failure with my stag. Im hoping you guys have much more experience and knowledge for me Thank you!! |

A lot of coated bolt carrier groups use inferior base components, as we've discovered through actual use and lab testing. Fancy NiB bolt carrier groups... where the bolt was actually 8620 carrier steel instead of bolt steel, yech.
Parallax Tactical does NiB and TiN BCGs using Colt Subcontracted parts AND their MSRP is less than a lot of these over hyped companies. Personally, i'd just get a LMT or BCM BCG, or a Colt one if possible. Given that Colt does not generally sell their BCGs on the open market (I know I'd be hard pressed to buy a verifiable Colt Defense BCG) LMT and BCM are the best general purpose BCGs IMHO. |
