| I bought a NIB Colt 6720, Sure is pretty. Are these things "decent"? Thanks |
|
Ok lets revisit the original post. You join the site in 2003 you have ONE POST in 11 years and its to ask the quality of a Colt LE6920? Sorry, but it reeks of a troll post.
However to answer your question, Yes, the LE6920 is a damn good rifle and it will serve you well. I have one myself and it runs flawlessly with all types of ammo. |

I like LW's My first was the predecessor to that rifle, a 6530 and I'ts been my beater for 8 years, hasn't failed me yet. Interesting story about mine, I purchased it in 2006 brand new. Looking up the serial number the receiver was made pre-ban but the rifle was assembled in a ban configuration. No bayonet lug, fixed A2 stock and non-threaded barrel. Must have been on the production line as the ban was put into effect. And yeah, the store I bought it from had a very low turn over rate, probably some of the same rifles on the shelf as when I bought this one. |

Haven't seen a new 6720 in a while. What configuration are they coming in? Rogers stock or milspec, MaTech rear or Magpul?

|
It has Super Stock, with Colt on the buttplate, 2 20 round p-mags ( I have added 5 more 30 & 5 Lancer 30s) Has m4 flashhider, m4 cut in the barrel. I guess its Mil-spec? Best I can tell it is, sure hope so. I need help in that area, don't think the front site is marked? Has a VERY nice rear flip-up but its not marked and only has one hole you look thru, but its rugged and fully adj.Can yall tell me more about it?

A 6720 should have a lightweight profile barrel. They have come with these sights: Matech Magpul |
| The 6720 is a great rifle. And the single aperture rear sight would be the Matech (Army issue rear sight btw) and everything I can think of on the 6720 is mil-spec except the lightweight barrel. M4 profile or SOCOM profile would be considered mil-spec. But don't think that makes your barrel worse or anything like that. It's just not what the military calls for in the specifications. |
| Gonna be sometime before I can do it ( I have a NIB Colt 06720 XSE in layaway), But I am not happy with the trigger at all, The rifle is still unfired, I got it more to just "have" than to shoot ( its to pretty). Anyway what trigger do you guys use THAT WORKS, easy it install etc? Regards Ernie |
|
It depends on what sort of shooting you want to do.
The ALG ACT is an excellent combat trigger, and the price is very reasonable at $65. It's not light, but it is very smooth and crisp.
