I'm looking into building my first AR.

So far I have found that I like the Crosshill Technologies xsr-15 upper.  In the process of looking for a lower then barrel.  Any help would be appreciated.  This gun will be set up for possible 3 gun in the future, hunting pigs and general range shooting.  I plan on either a 1-4 or 1-6 optic.  I'm looking into the Samson evolution hand rail and maybe the cmc match trigger.  Any help would be appreciated.  Like I said, this is my first time building a Ar, so throw some ideas out here.  Budget is 18-2000 not including the optic.  I want a heavier barrel threaded for 5\8-24 so I can thread my suppressor on.

I would suggest getting a matched upper and lower from whatever manufacture you decide to go with, In my experience, when you mix match uppers and lowers you can get tolerance issues, either a lot of wiggle or sometimes just too damn tight. I have had a lot of good luck with rock river, owned at least 5 through out the years.  If you are looking at building a rifle for hunting/3gun/range time, I would probably go with an 18" with a 1/8 twist, basically a MK12 barrel by BCM and im sure others make something similar. As far as a trigger goes, I recently got ahold of a gisselle DMR trigger and i was VERY impressed. Im partial to daniel defense hand guards and knights armament but its all a matter of personal pref with as much variety is on the market now its hard to keep up so i stick with what i worked with in the military.  Same with butt stocks, I'm partial to magpul but as with the rail systems the possibilities are endless its a matter of personal comfort.  If your budget is topping at 2000 then you should be able to put together a damn sweet package. Good luck!
