Got sbr and pistol lowers. Pistol build is super light to make it easy to haul. Probably just use the SBR lower for the range and home defense.
Thinking on putting a heavy butt on the SBR lower so that the SBR upper balances a little better in the hand w/ the suppressor mounted, to make it easier to let go w/ my off hand if I need to run a light or phone, open/close door etc w/ my off hand. What would be a good butt? I guess the magpul UBR? Heavy and tough if little expensive. Any other options? Something heavy or that can have a good amount of weight added. Obvious answer is an A2 stock w/ lead weight but prefer somehting telescoping. |
| If you can swing for the ubr thats exactly what I would do. To me it is the best stock out there. Rock solid, easy install and looks great in the process. The only reason I wouldnt suggest one is its weight but you are looking at it for the same reasons I bought one. It balanced my 14.7 perfectly. |

prolly an 8.5 w/ a 6" steel suppressor. It's probably never balancei in the hands but could get close.
I really also liek the ubr how is gives you a consistent cheek weld. my neck is a little long to make a cheek weld on a regular M4 type stock, especially when prone, always that edge in my cheek. |
| Have you checked out the North Eastern Arms Compact Carbine Stock? |

like the gunsmoke or lwrc system. very neat and compact. I am beginning to conclude that the buffer is not really necessary anyway. for me, I'll be running the upper on a SBR & a pistol lower. The SBR will just be for the house or the range. The pistol lower will have a law folder and will be for traveling w/ as is is legally beneficial to travel w/ or carry a handgun rather than a SBR or rifle. |
