| I just order the AR15 EM-15 (Enhanced M-LOK, 15") Handguard http://aeroprecisionusa.com/ar15-enhanced-mlok-handguard.html from aero precsion because for one it was a good price since the labor day sale and also i wanted a longer handguard. I called and asked if they fit on any AR15 upper and they listed 3 companies one of them being Spikes Tactical that they would be able to fit on. Spikes Tactical is the current rifle i have right now so i don't see any problem with it fitting on, but any of you have a handguard from them or experience with putting one of these into a rifle? Someone people have said it doesn't fit on the rifle companies they listed but worst case scenario is send it back and get my money back and end up buying a Midwest ind rail for a little bit more money. |

Sorry to bring bad news, but that handguard isn't going to fit your Spike's upper. It is designed for their enhanced upper receiver that uses a proprietary barrel nut.
The Aero enhanced upper is this one: http://aeroprecisionusa.com/upper-receivers/ar15-enhanced-upper-receiver.html Note the front of the upper where the barrel nut interfaces. Aero's barrel nut threads into that section, and the handguard is bolted to the holes on the outside. The Aero enhanced does fit on one of the Spike's uppers, the BAR2 model IIRC. |
| damn well i got mixed reviews from people saying it works others it doesnt. i called them today and they said it works with any spikes tactical AR15. i just sent them an email to get this once and for all fixed. If it is the case it wont fit then i will just end up buying the mid west ind rail |

I recommend selling the barrel nut as an option with the rail, and probably even designing your own lightweight version of it to sell with the rail.. I wasn't aware that AP had an Mlok rail until I saw this thread and I was excited until I discovered this barrel nut issue, especially since the BAR nut is heavy in todays market. |
| I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say about it. I picked up a set of the Ghost Gun lowers & uppers for the wife and I. Haven't decided how I want to build them out, but I'll be doing AP Barrels, not sure on the hand guards. Now if AP had some 14.5" or 16" with FSB it would be awesome *hint hint* |
