| I want to get someb rail panels in FDE or multiple colors to go in my DD LIte Rail III. I like the look of XTM enhances but hate the pain they are to remove, I like ladders for looks and comfort too but heard bad things as far as heat resistance, and only hear good things about Larue Index Clips but haven't seen many cool builds with them. Pictures and opinion welcome. |

I like the Surefire ladder rails. They're fairly cheap and easy to cut to length. You can always buy 7 cans boxes of LT index clips and build a rainbow! FIFY I love the Larue Index Clips. I just got my order in over the weekend and they look and feel great. They snap on very firmly and have zero movement on the rail. |

I had a nice pyramid going on the gun table, holding tactical trinkets The rail panel thing goes full circle. Start with ladders, try every damn panel, back to ladders. I have a box full of that shit I ended up hating. Clips, ladders, and a good pair of gloves for me, now. |

Do the index clips still come with all the goodies like the hat, dillo, ect. When purchased directly from Larue? IDK. How much Dillo Dust or "pocket Constitutions' does one man need??? If you need a Dillo to open your beer, turn in your man card immediately! |

I run the XTM rails of mixed colors on my work gun which is a Spikes, but the XTMs add a significant bulk to the rails.
I also got some LaRue Index Clips just for fun for my LaRue. Here's a pic. 'Merica! http://i58.tinypic.com/2cx7qqr.png |

I use these combination of rail covers, XTM Extreme, KAC or TangoDown, LaRue Index Clips, and Magpul ladder.
XTM Extreme covers where my hand is located, usually left, right and bottom rails. KAC or TangoDown panels at the bottom front rail so I could easily remove it when I use my bi-pod. Ladder covers on the top rail just to protect my hand and webbing gear from the sharp edges of the rail. Index Clips at small areas that are not covered by the other panels, because I don't like to cut panels in small pieces. |
