[ARCHIVED THREAD] - VLTOR EMOD stock question

So I am looking into the VLTOR EMOD "A5" stock. Would it be recommended to buy the whole kit or could I buy just the VLTOR buffer tube and the EMOD stock, without the buffer spring and buffer? By not buying the buffer tube and stock would knock off like $60. Reason I ask, is because I could just use the buffer and spring in my full stock AR now instead of buying a new one. Thoughts?

The buffer is proprietary
Gotta use their buffer with their stocks

You could just use the Emod stock by itself on an existing carbine tube, spring and buffer, but since you have a rifle tube, spring and buffer, you would need the full kit.
