So, I have a billet lower on order that comes with laser engraving (with-holding name to prevent bashing, 99% of you know company-not topic of thread). I like the idea of having something engraved, and since it is included in the price, I plan to take advantage of the offer. Only thing is, I can't decide what I want. What are some of your favorite (more-generic) engravings or images that you've seen on a rifle? I'm not at all offended by having a "generic" or "common" engraving, I just want it to be something that I like, and something that won't lower the resale value if I ever decide to sell my build.

So thoughts/suggestions?

It seemed like the most appropriate sub-heading.
Apologies, MODs please move if misplaced.

One good thing is you will get (hopefully) better answers then what you would get in GD!!! They may move it though...

I have lobbied for years that the heading should read "AR Tech Discussion"...

Anyway the 2nd amendment is always a good engraving or US and state flag..I would shy away from the Zombie shit .

a parts build or a kit build is going to have a lower resale value than a factory built gun in most cases.  Part it out and keep the lower.
Put what you want on it.

My vote would be the pip boy.

Just in case you decide to Form 1 the lower, you already got one step done.

I can't think of anything you could engrave extra on a lower (short of what's needed to put it on a Form 1) that WOULDN'T lower resale value.

Shit looks tacky as hell.

Skip the engraving.

Too radical for me. Saw a couple reaper pics that I liked, as well as a CA lead disclaimer that I got a kick out of.

Personally, I like no engravings beyond what is needed for legality. I like bare lowers, similar to what Nodak makes. Extra engravings makes a rifle seem like a toy.

I'm considering getting the State Seal of Missouri on the ejection port side of my lower.

Do it. I've seen a lower that was engraved to look like it had the third pin too.
