| Should I get a 15" MI gen 2 ss rail, or a Noveske NSR for my 16" rifle? |
|
MI G2 ss, NSR, Alpha, Fortis rev 14, Centurian arms one, and the Rainier Sampson all fit the bill of what your looking at, take a look at them all, their overall weights, their price, their congifurations and go from there, wont go wrong with any of them.
I went with the Fortis on my last rifle, mainly because the weight was rediculously light, strong, slim, and has the M1913 rails at 3,6,9, & 12 for the last 2 inches, makes it so I never need to add rails because I can mount my light there.. built in QD's are nice too. |

Depends exactly what you're looking for.
I love the KAC URX 3.1 for the same reasons others have praised the Fortis here. It's light and modular, but has picatinny sections in all or most of the spots you'd want them. If you're looking for a pure modular handguard, the NSR can't be beat. It's even lighter, has as or more solid of a barrel nut than any other made, and the handguard itself is as slim as possible. The NSR is the epitome of a handguard that you can manhandle. This IMO is where the uber hyped upcoming KAC URX 4 keymod and BCM keymod handguards will come up short to the NSR. The NSR is going to be damn tough to ever beat in the modular keymod department IMO. |

| When people say "keymod bandwagon" what exactly do you mean? If a rail can attach pics tinny sections and also have the possibility of direct attachment of accessories in the future how could it possibly be any worse than a free float modular tube that only attached picatinny? Keymod is the future as much as it scares people because they just won't have that 4 ft of wasted rail look. I say NSR all day or any other well made keymod for that matter. |

Parallax Tactical also sells a 15" keymod rail. Almost a NSR clone. Ya im deciding between the 13.5" NSR or the 13" Parallax tactical Keymod rail, pretty close to the same, the PT has a built in QD socket which is nice and is about $50 cheaper..i cant decide..lol |

Went with the nsr. Love it!
