| Does WMD have a patent on this material? We are already turning our own barrels and would like to look into doing some coatings. I hear the EPA is pretty tough with their regulations. I had a friend tell me that there is a neutralizer that u can add to the spoils but can not find any info on it. I have also read any coating can make the BCG tighter which causes cycling problems. Anyhow any info would be helpful. Let me clarify something we buy blanks so I wouldn't say we are totally in the barrel making business.o |

That does bring up an interesting point. On UCT's site, they mention that they offer the Exo coating nickel boron, but then that they also offer another type of "Conventional Electroless Nickel Boron Coating" that is not the same as the Exo?
They don't really delve into the differences, or mention what makes the Exo better. I wonder if WMD's Nickel boron is a varient of the Exo coating, or of the "conventional" nickel boron coating? I also wonder if places like Ice Arms, that brag that they use Fail Zero's nickel boron, are coating their BCG's with the Exo coating or the conventional nickel boron coating? In comparison to a Spike's tactical NiB BCG the Ice Arm's one seemed a lot less slick even though both finishes looked the same. Maybe that's why they are able to offer their NiB BCGs at prices way out of line with all the other manufacturers in the market. |
