Hey guys
I am looking for a BCG for my current and first build. I have a Del-ton barrel in 5.56 so I was thinking that it should be a decent barrel and that any BCG should work. The problem I'm having is I'm seeing a lot of BCGs with different bolts so if y'all could explain the difference between them It would be much appreciated. And the difference I'm talking about is the material they are made of. And by the way I am looking for a full auto m16 BCG and when talking price of them does it really mirror the quiality. Meaning more money the better the product or does it really have to do with where they are from, who makes them, and what material. Thanks again Tom Oh if y'all have any recommendations of some in the $130 to $140 price range let me have them. |

AIM has their own brand BCG on sale this week for $99. not sure if its still in stock, paid for mine saturday. It should get here tomorrow. Let me know what you think about it I was looking at it but didn't know if its $99 of awesome or $99 of crap. I was also looking at Iron Sight 15s new BCG for $135 |

Rainier Arms has a few BCG's in stock. They generally don't sell shit, and if you by chance do have any issues, their customer support is top notch.

http://oi41.tinypic.com/34ss8jm.jpg Make sure the staking of the gas key screws of the carrier are good like these, Colt at left the rest are LMT. The desirable features you should look for in a good BCG are it is manufactured and tested with mil-spec materials, manufacturing process and high pressure tested (HPT) and then magnetic particle inspected (MPI). Bolt features to look for: Bolt material is mil-spec Carpenter 158 steel alloy (9310 alloy are better but more expensive) Shot peened for increased strength Both HPT & MPI tested each and every bolt (not just MPI tested or batch tested) Tool steel extractor Bolt carrier features: Bolt carrier key screws are properly torqued and staked (see pic) Internal of carrier and gas key chrome lined per mil-spec Here are some recommended brands: Colt BCM Daniel Defense LMT AR Performance Rainier Arms ThunderBolt PSA Premium (not their standard grade BCG) Spike's Tactical Also try to buy a spare bolt assembly and small spare parts for the bolt like extractor, extractor springs, extractor insert, gas rings, bolt cam pin, firing pin, and firing pin retaining pin. If you have extra money perhaps maybe get a spare complete BCG, or if not get a spare carrier next time. Thanks the info I was looking for really but the rest of y'all still get an A+ for helping. Thanks again |

They are good to go. 9310 bolt, HP/MPI, grade 8 fasteners, and the key is properly staked. At $99 that is a phenomenal deal |

Joe Bob Outfitters. If you are a Vet, LE, or Military you get 5% off using code "THANKYOU" at checkout. You must have missed the threads here that showed pictures of bolts he sold to members that came apart after only a few rounds... I would PASS on giving them any money if I were you... |
