I'm thinking about going with the Centurion C4 10" on one of my middies.  Has anyone here used it with a cut down sight block, and if so, did it end up sticking out the front at all?  Any pics?

A cut down fsb will definitely stick out. Even small low pro gas blocks stick out a little. Measure from the front off you received out 10 inches and you will see where it falls.

Measured it for you....

A Centurian Rail measures 11 1/4" from the receiver end to the front of the FSB.

I thought it was a true 10". All of sticks pics show the gas block just a little exposed but at over 11"s it would cover my gas block. Interesting. I chose the 12' to make sure the gas block was covered but if it is indeed 11 plus inches I may be getting a new rail.

Is that the 10" or the cutout rail?

A Mid-length cutout.

ETA: to clarify, this measurement is from the front of the rail where it touches the upper receiver to the very front of the FSB. This is not the overall length of the rail.

Yes a 12" rail will cover entirely ..... the 10" will not.

Man if they would have made that e 10" a half inch longer I'd have been all over it
