Anybody run one of these?

Is the "sound abatement" the main benefit, or is there any noticeable difference in the way the action cycles (smoother, more positive, less recoil)?

I've never experienced any issues with the traditional setup, and the "sproing" really doesn't bother me.

It tames recoil just a tad. And I'm running it in an LR308. Make's follow up shots easier.

I have one in one of my 300 BLK guns and it does eliminate the SPROING.  The action is also a bit smoother -- like budder.

If I had it to do over again, I'd put the money into a better optic, trigger, or more ammo and live with the SPROING.

Followed the links. Pretty informative read from those who used the product.

Sounds like maybe it isn't for me. I'll be running it on an un-suppressed 5.56. Also sounds like I might lose the last round bolt open feature until the unit breaks in?

Meh, the sproing remains.

Thanks for the info.

Resurrecting an old post of mine.

Well, had some extra change lying around and decided to reconsider my decision on this item. Took it out yesterday for the first time and I'm not impressed with it.

The good: The action is smooth and quiet. No more "sproing".

The bad: Several FTF due to light strikes on the primer. Bolt would not hold open on last round.

Now I have to be honest here, I didn't follow the install instructions completely. I did not remove the buffer spring detent prior to install. My bad and I know it, but I was short on time and impatient, and trying to get ready for the range trip. In my defense, a standard buffer set-up functions fine with the detent in place, I figured this should function as well.

Over the course of this week I'll make time to remove the detent and hopefully get out to the range in the next weekend or two to test fire it.

Rifle was a known good performer prior to this mod.

At the range I removed the bolt and stripped it to eliminate the possibility of any carbon fouling causing the firing pin to stick. Negative.
Next I compared the FP to a known good FP and compared length.  Check.
FP end broken/damaged?  Negative.

Gotta be my screw up of not removing the detent.  Hope I'm right.

Bought one because of the positive reviews and I cant stand the scraping noise from the buffer spring.  Nokick.com had the best price.

They do have a spring kit, now, to help with the bolt hold-open issue.  Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you can get them separately.

I don't think that the product codes indicate that they are a 10 and 15-pack kit, respectively.  From the description, the first link is a pack of three springs, or differing weights, while the second is a pack of five springs of differing weights.
