Hi' I'm new to AR's, so please forgive my ignorance
I'm trying to plan out what I want after the lower and upper receiver are completed. I already know I want a rifle barrel (long) 18-20" so I can get more accurate distances. I'll post this part in the barrels thread though --> Or is there much difference between a 16" and 18-20" Is there a there a thread or resource that covers handgaurds in depth? especially... 1. free floating, what ways do they attach to the gun. clamp on, screw on? 2. I'm concerned about a free floating getting bumped, knocked around and coming more out of alignment with the bore of the barrel 3. would you use a free floating in actual combat? 4. and so on...
