Call me lucky, but I have people over at geissele, as we sell product to them. I have the chance to purchase a trigger at a bit of a discount, but not sure which one. I currently have my eye on the super SCAR. Can any of you point me in the right direction? I have a smith & wesson m&p 15 Sp, and originally just wanted a lighter pound trigger. Now im sitting here thinking go big or go home.  Thx

If you are so lucky.  Maybe you would realize that the SCAR trigger is for a SCAR, not a S&W MP 15.

Maybe your friends, that you are Soooo lucky to have can give you advice.

I don;t understand the go big or go home comment?  Will you notice a difference between a 3.5lb trigger and a 4lb??

The SSA-E is great for precision work as well as general range shooting (don't want to start the debate of whether it should be used for a battle rifle),
the SSA is better for a HD/SHTF/battle rifle (same as SSA-E but a little heavier pull),
the hi-speed triggers are even greater for precision if you're building a super accurate bench gun and dont mind dropping the cash,
the super 3 gun is great for 3 gunning because of the short reset and ease of slapping through the pull quickly.

The poster above me has a good grasp of it. Try a flat trigger. It seemed odd at first but they really grew on me.

Tried my friend's SSA last weekend and ordered one for myself today..

scgebo had a very good summary.

If you want a Geissele trigger but don't know which one to get then get a SSA. Or SSA-E if you think you want a little lighter pull weight.

bought the SSA-E a few months back, it's a little light, I'm going to swap it to a heavy barrel varmint rifle with a 20" barrel
and order me a standard SSA model for my 16" middy.  Great triggers and smooth, but I'd get the SSA for my go to gun.
It's plenty smooth and light on the pull, and this is just my opinion.

I overlaid all the trigger pulls onto one graph. These pulls are from Geissele's literature.

This can give you a good idea of what each trigger will do.

The following are the same trigger pulls:

SSA and SD-Combat

SSA-E and SD-E

Super 3Gun and SD 3Gun

if you are going to go big, Just get the sd-3g and be done with it. Its a very light rapid fire 3gun style trigger. one of their lightest. their ownly single stage, and one of the costliest. I have one on my Larue stealth and its badass.

SD-C. Super Dynamic Combat.  I have 2. Light years better than stock. Same as the SSA but with the flat trigger. Visit there website, check out their application guides.

Emailing back and forth with geissele last night,  john agreed as well as most of the replies here.  Going with the SSA looks perfect. The E version may be too light for a run and gun which I enjoy doing. Thx, guys

Good choice on the SSA. It's not Geisselles's bread and butter for nothing.

Just received the SSA today, well yesterday.. Just installed the thing though. Took maybe 20 minutes, I was being very careful.

What a world of difference from the stock Stag trigger group!! Went from a spongy 7 lb. trigger to a 2 1/2 lb. break.

I can't wait to get out and try the thing. I've a suspicion that my groups will shrink a bit...
