Anchor Harvey Aluminum forging.  Could be finished by a number of makers.

Thanks ,,,so this is Not a BCM upper???

Anchor Harvey only produces the raw forgings - final machining is done elsewhere.

I've seen keyholes (Cerro) and squares (Brass Alumn Forge) on BCM's doesnt mean they dont use Anchor Harvey as well though.

Like every other brand BCM obtains receivers forged by a variety of forging operations. I have seen BAFE, Anchor Harvey, Cardinal & Cerro forged receivers sold by BCM. All the forge company does is forge the raw aluminum into the shape of a receiver. The machining & finish work is completed by any number of machine shops.

It should be provided it's in spec. Only way to know that is to build it, mate it to the lower receiver & then shoot.

If it is being advertised as a BCM Complete upper - then they are probably LYING.  Like many other big-name upper builders, they laser engrave their initials on the upper receiver itself.

Some guys complain about the laser engraving - but it helps in cases like this.

BCM doesn't mark their stripped uppers. Only their barreled uppers are marked.

Yep - which is why I started the statement the way I did

I wouldn't be sure either, but my reference is only that one picture.

I know people on here seem to go bcm crazy and while they make nice things.  Things like these stripped uppers don't really matter.  They are all the same metal, the the same anodizing, and I'd bet cut out to the right specs.

If its in spec, and it doesn't have to be bcm to get that, it should be just fine.  Also, I wouldn't pay a premium for a bcm stripped upper.  If your trying to be fancy with markings well that's one thing but eh.

The only thing that matters deep down as to the ruggedness of an AR is the bolt and barrel. Other parts add up to something, but a tits build with a blackthorn BCG is a joke.

Sleep well with your stripped upper.
