Are there any free floating rails that can be installed without the removal of the front sight post and barrel nut?  I purchased an upper with a pinned muzzle device so i will not be able to remove it.  The only one Ive found is the DD Omega.

Midwest Industries Gen2 two piece free float rails would work. Simply cut-off the delta ring and springs underneath with a dremel and the handguards attach to the existing barrel nut. They're very solid, good quality handguards.

The MI is supposed to be good but the Centurion Arms C4 I think is supposed to be better.  It does cost more.  Unless you get it used which is hard to find they cost $246 anywhere you go pretty much.  I might try an MI on one of my carbines.

The Troy MRF-CX or the DD Omega FSP. I like the Troy as a little cheaper solution to the DD FSP rail. I'm sure the DD is a slight better refined and designed rail but the Troy did it for me.

I did not mean to snub the DD, Troy, or even the MI.   They all look like very decent rails.  After looking around a while I decided on the Centurion.  I did not get the extended version for my mid length though it was a close call.  They both looked very nice.

Slight twist if I may.  Will all of these work with A2 format uppers??  The DD looks like it wouldn't, but that is a guess.

Thank you,
