I've seen these in stock at AIM Surplus for the last several days. I'm wondering why they don't seem to be selling out like other lowers.
Anyone have any insight?  I working on my first AR15 build, but don't want to get a lower that is going to cause problems down the road.

Well in the industry forum, Bryan from AIm Surplus said he was getting 1500 of these in.

I just checked and there were only 210 left.

I wouldn't take the fact that they have stayed in stock as a bad omen about the quality.

This. I just got a fancy lower, otherwise I would have ordered a three pack of these myself. I'm hoping they become a normally stocked object.

I ordered two Friday and picked them up from the FFL  today.  Serial # on one is mid low 700s and the other is low 800s.  The 8xx says Kent, WA while the 7xx says Bellevue, WA.  Not that I really care about that, just thought it was odd.  The finish on the 8xx is normal and looks pretty good, but the 7xx isnt as nice.  Its got some runs and dust under the finish on the non rollmarked side magazine well.  Not a  big deal considering the price...It may end up getting camoed or something anyway.

Thanks. I think I'll hold out for a Spikes Punisher or Calico Jack lower.

It isnt too bad.  If I were buying it locally I'd probably ask for a different one, but it definitely isnt bad enough to deal with shipping it back.  From a couple feet away it looks good.

Doesn't matter out of stock. Glad I got three on the way.

BEWARE!

I got 4 from AIM.

1 was acceptable.  (not good, just acceptable)

1 was so out of spec, I could not adjust the tit on my trigger (same spec as the other three) to get tight safety action.

1 was so out of spec that I could NOT put the pin in the hammer.  The rounded cut in inside was too far forward (not far back enough?) and the axle of the hammer would not go far enough back to allow the pin to be used.  Yes, really.  I had to relieve the edges of the hammer axle to allow it to fit.

TWO (of the prior out of spec ones, of course) were SO out of spec that the upper JUST WOULD NOT FIT.  They were too short, and maybe 1/16 too much material on the buffer tube socket front portion.

TOTAL CRAP. Worst lowers I have ever used.  The company ALSO sucks and will not respond.

Yeah, I purchased 2 of them before reading any of these posts.  They are definitely a tight fit and not the good kind.  Nothing like hammering in your parts.
