Im looking to put a magpul forend on my AR, I have tried to see if there was any postings for this, but havent seen any. My questions are as follows,

Has anyone tried these?
How rugged are they?
Has anyone put accessories on the handguard and if so did it work properly???

Thanks for any information.....

They're very rugged and modular for a direct replacement polymer handguard.

I got rid of mine because they were too fat to be comfortable and heavier than most modern free floats. I wish they made a slimmer model that was a bit lighter. They're bomb proof, but I still think they could go on a diet and still be tough as nails.

Yes.
Well enough.
Yes.
Yes.
They make good stuff. All my ARs have magpul stocks (sans my old A2 HBAR). Half have magpul grips. Most have their MBUS front and rear. One has the carbine hand guards with the short vertical grip. It's fine. There are better products, but for the money I don't think you can beat their stuff.

These questions make me giggle because while I totally understand that you don't know and it's a valid question for someone new to the hobby.

But for people that have been around a while its kinda like walking into a car forum and asking if anyone has tried Goodyear tires.

They are great, impact weapons components makes mounts and parts that direct connects, it's some slick shit.

I really like them so far. I have magpul handguards on 2 AR's and love them. They fit very tight, feels solid. They are kind of fat but that doesn't bother me, no worse than stock guards that's for sure but there are thinner options. I do not have any accessories attached (lights, lasers etc.) you can put rails for them or get direct attach as mentioned above, I see no reason they would not hold up, I'm sure they would. I have the AFG 2 on the bottom and really like that too. It's a little dorky looking but functional as hell. It is really growing on me.

My usual reply when it comes to MOE handguards; They're ugly (IMO), but they work and feel great.

Don't hesitate to buy.
