Hey guys. I am in need of a rail and am looking at spike tactical's BAR/SAR rails.
I have a couple questions about them. 1. It says you can attach a suppressor underneith the BAR, can you do this will the SAR? 2. Is it easy to detach the can if need be? 3. It says the BAR is for large hands. How large are these rails? 4. I have a 16" pistol length noveske barrel. How long of a rail should I go with? Thanks |

Hey guys. I am in need of a rail and am looking at spike tactical's BAR/SAR rails. I have a couple questions about them. 1. It says you can attach a suppressor underneith the BAR, can you do this will the SAR? Yes you can also do this with the SAR but the ID of the SAR is smaller. 2. Is it easy to detach the can if need be? It really depends on the suppressor, some are easier to install and remove, some have locking mechanisms and some don't. Most of the time you can access these locking mechanisms through our large side ports. Some suppressors like the MRS suppressor can be installed from the front, other may require a strap wrench. 3. It says the BAR is for large hands. How large are these rails? They are not that large, the BAR has a 1.78" ID while the SAR has a 1.5" ID. 4. I have a 16" pistol length noveske barrel. How long of a rail should I go with? I'd get a 12" rail. Thanks I tried to help above, in red.. |

You can also buy them from the Seekins Precision label that actually makes them for Spike's. I'm not sure it still applies but I know at one point they were cheaper too. It should expand availability at least though. Thanks for the info. I ended up buying a 12" spikes BAR. They had them in stock and that's what I wanted. Hopefully it gets here soon so I can get it installed! |
