So, are lower parts kits pretty much the same? The only difference I can see is the price?

Good question, it would be interesting to know the facts on this. Like how many companies actually make the parts and how they are re-branded. I have had good luck with JP kits minus trigger.

Daniel Defense are very good. The few PSA LPKs i've used were good. I would be ok with most of the major brand's LPKs.
Edit: i would like to know how many manufacturers there really are, as well.
