| Im wondering the difference between the "clamp method" of the Troy TRX, which caused the end of rail to tip up slightly, and the clamp method of the MI SS Gen 2. I could be mistaken, and probably am, but from the photos the MI looks to have the pinch screws that folks didn't like that led to the Alpha rail method. I have a TRX and although that 1/16" or so rise isnt a big deal on that rifle, I would prefer a level continuous rail on my new build now that I know better. Thanks. |
| Thanks for the reply. I am familiar with the carry handle method of keeping the rails aligned horizontally, I'm more concerned with the muzzle end of the rail rising vertically. If I remember correctly from researching this issue with the TRX, this is a design issue not an installation issue. I guess the video confirms my concern and I will look at other options. I read something in the reviews on midway about "deflection" upon tightening as well and that is what I was hoping to avoid this time around. |
