| How do you guys like the your Magpul STR stocks? Do they lock up nice and tight? Please post your experience with the STR and list which extension tube you're using. |

STR on a commercial tube. Lock up was poor at best. CTR fits the same tube perfect. I have no doubt Magpul would take care of it, but a piece of electrical tape on the buffer tube was faster than sending it in, so I have nothing to complain about. Installation also seemed harder than my CTR too for some reason.
Aside from that it's perfect. Issues like mine are rare and quickly taken care of anyways. It's my favorite stock with nothing else coming close.

| I like mine. It's only caught on my beard one time, where-as my CTR catches on the beard every time out. I have the military sized one. Lockup is nice and snug. If you carry extra CR123 batteries, insert them base first or the first battery gets caught in the stock and won't easily come out. I would buy another one in a heart beat. |
| For those looking for an easier way to install and remove it, press the adjustment latch and hold it open. You'll see the catch slide down out of the stock and there's a little circular pin. Use a screwdriver or knife to wedge between the stock and that pin to pry the catch down. Thousands of times easier than the traditional method. |

That is exactly what I did after I shit-canned the dummy round.
