| are rails that attach to handguards (in this case a diamondhead versa rail) interchangeable? basically can i get any rails and have them attach to the handguard or do i have to buy the diamondhead ones which are quite a bit more expensive. i'm wanting to put the rails on so i can put some sort of covers on it since the damn handguard gets too hot to hold onto without them after a lot of shooting. |

The rails for your or any brand forearm are going to have the correct center to center holes for mounting as well as the correct amount of curve on the backside to match the diameter of your rail. If your rail has flat surfaces like a MOE and you want to drill holes then anything is possible.
If you are going to try and cover the entire forearm price out the rails and add what you could get for your forearm on the EE and see if you could get into a new lower end quad rail, it'll look and feel better. |
