The final piece will be falling into my first AR this week.
I already have a single shot .223 that weighs a billion pounds, so I went for a super light/KISS AR to switch things up. After shopping for an upper since December, I finally found one that was inexpensive and in stock. I really dig the no forward assist or dust cover either. Anyway, what is the reputation for the DPMS BCG, will it break on me eventually, should I get an extra one? |

Who knows. Odds are it'll work fine. There are many thousands more out there running fine and dandy compared to the 20 or so people on here who will scream all day long about how DPMS sucks and they have "heard" about so many breaking.
Buy it, run a quick 1000 rounds through it and inspect it. The gas block on the Sportical sucks. either red locktitie the set screws, stake them, or replace it with a "clamp on" style. The upper on the Sportical is actually heavier than a regular one because it is extruded and it is thicker. |
