Are there any 2 piece drop in rails that offer a more of a tube/modular design rather than the ever present quad rail design. I can't install a one piece tube because my front sight post cannot be removed (due to welded FH) so I am limited to using 2 piece designs.

I don't like my current 2pc quad because it is really fat and I can't get my hand comfortably around it..no "thats what she said!" jokes

Why not just shave the front sight and use either a Samson or an Apex like you posted. Both attach to the stock barrel nut and it is pretty easy to shave the front sight, just make sure you get the rail long enough to cover it.

To remove the barrel nut and delta ring you still need to remove the front sight post right? I mean even if you shaved it down would the nut and D-ring clear it?

You can cut the delta ring pack and handgaurd cap pretty easily with dremel/snips/etc if you're careful.

Take that last post back..looks like it can be done if I just cut the d-rong off with a dremel.

I believe Loki Weapon systems has some tubes that attach to the barrel nut. Unfortunately they don't appear to be listed on their website so you would probably have to call them.

Not too hard to cut, there are a few tutorials out there and then you will have a few more options.

Very nice. Any other freefloaters thats can attach without barrel nut removal? Just weighing options.
