Long time watcher, first time poster. I have been looking all over and reading and researching and I cant really decide what I want. I am in teh search for a good upper. for practice, home defense and heaven forbid, a zombie apocolypse. I know i want:
must be COMPLETE upper to attach to a lower and ready to rock, I dont want to build , or get barrel assembly without missing parts. A4 Flattop DI gas system Long FF handguard(12"+ be nice, 9" minium) must have at least 1913 rail full lengtth on top. Full quad rail would be great. somethign DD style. m4 barrel provile or heavier, no pencil barrels 16"-18" 1in 7 or 1in 8 twist m4 feed ramps decently accurate reliable around $1000 or less range I plan on putting Troy battle sights front and rear (if it does not have A2 front sight) prob prefer the Troy sights though. and a Aimpoint with larue qd mount. So far I was thinking maybe DDM4V5, or smith wesson M&P15T , but nothing really sticking. Ive looked at alot. I not real sure about the quality- DD, DPMS, Stag, RRA, S&W, etc etc Any recommendations would be well received. or general direction to head. |

I have this complete upper and very well satisfied for the price.
It is only a carbine with a 7" handrail but you can change that pretty easily. SSA |

Anything from Noveske, DD, and/or BCM; with a fllat top upper, 16" gov't profile barrel, 1/7 twist, and mid length gas system. TROY sights are great. DD, LaRue, Centurion Arms, and TROY, make good rails.

SSA I have seen the BCM mentioned on here and heard only good things about them. The only thing is it says they dont come with bolt carrier groups or charging handle. It says they are headspaced but if it doest come with the bolt then how can you have it headspaced for that bolt. I must be missing something.
