Have had my AR for a few months now, have a few hundred rounds through it and despite trying two different triggers (DPMS and RRA) I do not like how the stock triggers feel, I hesitate to go to a "match" trigger or a 2 stage because I do plan to run quite a few rounds though this thing and fear wearing them out. My question is what precision trigger do you have and how many rounds do you have on it and does it still perform like it did when it was new? I have been considering taking one of the trigger setups I have and case hardening the wear areas and modifying it to make the trigger pull shorter and lighter to try and get a stocker closer to what I'm used to. any thoughts or suggestions from people that have modified stock trigger assembly's?

secondary question do comps such as the battlecomp affect accuracy?

Spikes seem to be in favor at this time

If you don't mind doing some filing and fitting, a JP trigger with their duty springs would probably work very well for you.

Get a Geissele. They're every bit as reliable as a GI trigger and have and they are all incredible. They are definitely worth every penny.

I've been using a Geissele match trigger in my 3 gun rifle for around 5 years and it feels like it did when I first installed it.  I go through around 2.5k-3k a year.

Check out Geissele.
But for the love of God, make sure you try the trigger before you buy it, there are quite a few Geissele models available.
You won't 'wear them out' as long as you buy quality.

Geissele is top-notch.  Their customer service is amazing.  I even shared some emails with Bill Geissele himself.

Right up there with benchmade and S&W for their service.
