What exactly is the difefrence between the MOE and the CTR stocks is the MOE less beefy I had the first run CTR on my old carbine but sold it and its time to by another stock

CTR has a friction lock that keeps the stock in the position you set it

ctr also has a sling attachment point, moe does not

I have the CTR and for me, the sling attachment point is more important than the friction lock (which is a nice feature, though).

+1 The CTR have a friction lock and a QD sling mount the MOE don't have them.

I've got both the CTR and MOE stocks, I'm using the MOE on my carbine with a single point sling mounted on my receiver end plate with a BCM buffer tube and it fits snug, doesn't need a friction lock, YMMV.

The dimensions of the body of the CTR and MOE are identical, they both could use any of the three sizes of rubber buttpads, thin, medium and thick.

There the same other than the two items in the above posts. Pretty sure they made it for a cheap alternative to basic furniture. Because its the same with the moe grip and miad grip then of course the moe handguards are relatively cheap....BUT!! they are well built despite what some people say.

The MOE stock is the same basic dimensions and uses the same material as the CTR.

It's only difference is the removal of the friction lock and QD mount.

Unfortunately, My moe stock locks up a little more rigid than my ubr. I need to reinstall the ubr and see if I can determine the cause of the wiggle.

ps: They both lock up pretty tight, although my ace stock was rock solid.
ETA: Reinstalled it and it locks up SOLID now. I believe the end screw was not completely tight .

That is not right. I would give our customer service a call. The UBR cam locks itself for zero movement and should feel like a fixed stock when locked.
