Falcon were involved in the original M93 Experimental stock.

Once it was replaced in our line up by the UBR we transferred the molds to Falcon who modified the design and released it as the F93.

I have one my Recce-ish build and it's great. The F93 uses a different tube arrangement. It is an overmolded tube that uses a standard castle nut. The published weight includes this overmolded receiver extension. The F93 does not have the position indicator window ala Magpul. The latest version comes with rotation-limited QD sling swivels, and the FDE version accepts RIT dye pretty darn well.

With Magpul Buttpad:

If you need your stock to have a lot of meat on it like the eMod, then you might not like the F93. The fixed tube has a more triangular shape than a regular ole' receiver extension, but it doesn't have the extra beef like the eMod. The main benefit for my application is that the cheeck weld remains CONSISTENT no matter what position the stock is in. For me, this is a hige benefit b/c when shooting at a distance I extend my stock out a little bit. With any other stocks (UBR excluded) I wind up with my cheek on the receiver extension. The M93/F93/UBR concep eliminates the changing cheekweld throughout the positions.

HTH!

I have an F93 and I love it. It does weigh a bit more then I'd like and the butt plate is a bit rough if you are shooting with just a t-shirt on, but just man up and deal with it ;-) I love the check weld, it is not as bulky as an Imod Emod or similar designs but it still has a nice thick feel. Constant check weld is really nice too! The other thing I noticed is that when extended to about the #4 position my ear-pro falls into the gap which allows me to get an even better weld...like this...

That reminds me...Magpul M93 buttpads will fit on these stocks, but they can be difficult to find.

I think I read somewhere of someone taking the Magpul Enhanced Rubber Butt-Pad and installing it on the F93 with very little modifications needed to the pad. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, I might just give that a try.

so yours didn't come with the metal brackets? or the actual sling swivels? I was a bit disappointed to find no sling swivels in the packaging myself,  but they're pretty cheap.

I have one mounted in the second photo I posted above. I did not need to modify the buttpad at all. I did have to drill a hole into the stock for one of the mounting screws. It's been a few months, but I believe it was the top hole. The hole that is already present is not large enough to accomodate the mounting hardware that comes with the buttpad.

If they come with the buttpad, that's good news. I had to give $20 + shipping for mine. I would also make sure it comes with the QD swivel attachment, b/c if Ergo isn't offering one, it would be a PITA to track one of those down. Enjoy!

There's been a few magpul M93's popping up in the EE for under $100. I have one on my gun, and IMO I wouldn't pay over $100 for one. Unless I bought it to re-sell it. It's just a stock, and doesn't do anything super kool to make me want to spend that much on one. The only nice thing about it is your cheek weld doesn't move when it's adjusted.

I have the older Magpul stock. I need the QD Swivel Plate that attaches to the metal brackets so I can use a sling with QD Swivels.

Its funny how it is almost the same stock but the price is a lot less since the Magpul name isn't on it.  I personally like the design and don't care what brand is on it.  Maybe Magpul could sell the UBR rights to Ergo and they could rename it "FUBR" and sell it for $75-$100 less.

Almost the same does not equal the same.  When the Magpul M93 was produced there was nothing else on the market that even came close to it's feature set.  It was even dubbed the "Experimental" stock due to it's radical departure from the norm which required us pushing the boundaries of design.  Extreme innovation coupled with low production volumes can sometimes equal higher prices (albeit our products have always provided a good value).  Nothing against the F93, but the design of this stock is like 9 years old now and Falcon has the advantage of being able to use some of the original molds.

BTW when we first produced this stock the Magpul name wasn't yet very well known at all...

Imo its still pretty radical considering only the UBR has similar designs(but a bit too large for a SBR). Overall im excited to get it ill def post pics of it when it comes in and attached to my lower.
