Not sure if you could tell from those pics. The fakes I have seen have the wrong address or phone number underneath the rail

I was looking at the screw (the older models like this one were allen head), and the tab that slides underneath the handguard cap. Those are present, the finish looks anodized, and the rail numbers look legit. A picture of the heat shields should tel whether it's genuine or not, but from the pictures provided, it looks real to me.

Also, that seller has sold three of those, and has 100% positive feedback.

yea thats true but i bought a magpul ms2 sling from a guy that had 100% feedback and had sold them to others.  When i got it, it was a knockoff  (not even the pts line) just a knockoff. So Im very leary of ebay when it comes to rifle parts.  I am gonna trust this guy though I guess.

It shows the correct number of pieces less the plastic "tool roll" we place the extra panels in.
Need detail close up's of rails to render a better opinion, but enought to say it is most likely stolen GI or air-soft knock-off.
I mean at $125 it can not be the real or the commercially legitimate thing.
We have had lots of requests lately from people buying similar "too good to be true" deals only to find all the interals have been stripped out.
Let the buyer beware!

I asked the seller if it was airsoft and he said no its the real thing.  I was thinking that maybe it could be a second? Is there anything I could ask the seller to know a little more.

There is no heatshield on the upper half correct?

I would suggest just to buy that same rail here at AR15.com Equipment Exchange, I bought mine brand new there from a seller with excellent feedback, the same seller is now an EE moderator.

It might cost a little more than flea bay but it's going to be the real thing for sure.

Good to hear from the actual company......however -

I can buy a legit rail from your right now and decide to sell it in a week.  I will not get more than the current market ($100-150ish) even though it is a legit rail obtained from a legit source.

You have to try really hard and keep on looking there, try it a bunch of times and you'll probably snag one.

I tried it several times before I got an IM from the seller saying he agreed to sell it to me, then I sent him my payment, then he sent it to me, approx. about a week from the time I bought it then I got it in my hands.

I just snagged a new & legit RAS on the EE for $120 last week. There were still several for sale in the EE for low prices.

Going for how much used? You can find new ones for less than what most rails go for these days.

I did a quick google search and saw new ones for 225 and what not, used ones going for 100+
I honestly haven't done that much research beyond my 5 second google search.   The rail has been sitting in my box o parts for 2 years and I've never gotten around to getting rid of it.

just received the rail today! its the  real deal the only small issue being that it looks like a factory second (has a purplish tint in between some of the rails(where the numbers are))  But thats no problem for me  It was a $125 buy it now or BO.  Well he took my BO and I must say for what I paid Im quite happy!!
