So, I'm finally getting around to putting my first AR together and ordered an upper from JSE Surplus.

Link

It arrived Saturday and it looks to pass all the usual inspection points, everything seems nice and tight. Upper and barrel are from Del-Ton, everything else is listed as RRA on the parts list.
Its been test fired as evidenced by residue in the chamber and slight scuff mark on the brass deflector, other than that it is in pristine condition.

Now, I haven't shot it yet, still waiting on the lower from PSA to arrive sometime this week. My question is this.. This seems to be a quality product, correctly assembled from parts that are generally considered to be good, yet there is no feedback at all on these forums about JSE. Why is this? They are as cheap as buying a kit from Del-Ton directly (cheaper if you are in NC due to sales taxes), their staff is friendly and they shipped quicker than most other places can do a custom upper.

I'll come back and post a short report on how it shoots once I get the lower in.

Doesn't seem as though they have a forum. I've built and shot many Del-Ton rifles, can't go wrong with them. JSE is good people.

I ordered a DPMS Mark 12 barrel from JSE. They had the best price on it anywhere, and it arrived on day 5. I will definitely do business with them again. More people would probably use them if they were a site sponsor.

i purchased a 7" flat top pistol complete and a M4 16" complete custom uppers. They have a bulldog barrel. the upper receiver has DSA marking. Great product and the best price. There prices have went up a little but way better pricing then anyone else.

Finally got my lower and assembled the rifle.

The JSE built upper fit perfectly with my Palmetto State Armory lower, no play at all.

Only had time for a quick bore laser sight-in and to put two mags worth through it yesterday in the backyard. Everything seemed to function as it should. It ate steel cased 62gr MFS and some American Eagle M855 without a hiccup. With just under 1K in the rifle including a Leupold VX-I I'm very impressed.

Parts are in spec, assembled correctly and delivered faster than any of the other entry level builders I've seem or heard about out there.
I would have no problem using or recommending JSE Surplus for further budget 'custom' upper purchases.

Damn nice looking rifle thumbscrew. I ordered the last Del-Ton 18" midlength JSE had in stock this morning.

JSE does have a feedback section. Throw a +1 to them here.
