| I have a BCM 12.5 inch barrel, and I checked the headspace with several different bolts that I have. The no go gauge chambers easily, but the field gauge will not chamber, so I know it is within acceptable specs, but the brass expands a lot around the head. The other barrels I have are a lot easier on the brass and will not chamber a no go gauge. The fired brass from these other barrels will easily fit into a case gauge and are only a couple thousands above the max shoulder length. However, the fired brass from the 12.5 inch barrel will not even go into a case gauge! Is this something I should be concerned about? |
| I rebarrelled my AR with a White Oak 12.5 inch barrel from ADCO; it has a Wylde chamber. The go gauge chambered but not the no go gauge. I shot some reloads and Hornady 5.56 TAP through it today, and the fired cases drop in a case gauge and are still within SAAMI specs. Now, that's a match chamber! |

Apparently BCM is not as great as people think. You're that guy who dares God to strike you with lightning too, right? Seems to be a trend developing.... http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=531187 |
