Instructions say 20-30 ft lbs of torque.  Can anyone tell me about how snug that is for someone like me that is not using a torque wrench?  Is it safe to assume that it is too snug if I am bending any of the shims?

Yeah... just snug it up decent with the rockset.  We did 3 of these on Saturday for a guy.  Good Grief are those stupid Brakes and Brakeouts loud.  I think I got brain damage from firing the guy's 11.5 with the brake installed.
