I don't think there is that much of an appreciable difference between 16" and 18", performance wise. But Im going to have to settle with either a 16 or 20 due to price. Im trying to not spend over $600 on a upper.
Crack that wallet a little wider open and get this. Not a quad rail but I like it. Checking CMMG: 18" SS bull barrel $579. Plus feel free to contact any company and ask. Even if its not a stock barrel size most of these companies do custom orders all the time. I am having the hardest time balancing my wants, barrel length and price.....and I think I know exactly what I want....for now. Also, if this is your first AR, don't go for it all. You can always build more.
