Are all Free Floating Rails equal? I own a DD RIS II, and I love it. The problem is the price on DD rails. I personally think they are the best free floating rails I ever seen. I also owned a DD 7 inch Omega in black and another in FDE. I seen Troy`s, and other rails that were priced about 1/2 as much as DD rails. I also seen the Larue rails online, and other ones as well. So does it come down to personal choice? Are all the top tier rails equal? I just got a LMT SPM16. I am thinking of running a 10 to 12 inch rail on it, but I do want another DD RIS II rail. The problem is how much they cost. I noticed some other companies that have 10 to 12 inch rails that are cheaper in price, but are they worth it?

I don't think you can get a better rail than Daniel Defense.
I did just get a M.I. T-Series Free Float I'm pretty happy with for half the cost of the DD. I used the DD on my work rifle, so I wanted the best I could get. But I have 3 M.I. rails and have never had one issue with them. Dave |
