Hate to ask a stupid question but I just picked up a RRA LAR 15 Carbine for great deal. It has the RRA FF Alum Handguards, no rails, easily removable gas block with no front sight. I don't want to hang a lot of things on it but would like the flexibility to put a vertical grip and light on it.
So here is question:
Thinking 2 options -
1. replace it with a RRA 1/2 Rail FF, thinking it should be a srew off-screw on easy procedure
or
2. Just screwing it off and drilling it and installing a bottom and side tactical rail?

Opinions? Comments? suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Yhm makes rails that are round on the bottom. They are what I put on my Dpms free float tube before I just went with the yankee hill custom free float tube. I would just buy what you want and ditch the tube on EE. Having said that if you like to tinker then by all means go for it.
