well i am looking for a single stage trigger for an ar15.  so far i have looked at Jard and Timney.  i was trying to see if Geissele made a single stage  but couldnt find any info. is there any others i should be looking at?
whats the pros and cons of each one and what do you think is best?

this is for a present for my friend.  his wife asked me what he wanted and i told her a trigger. so she told me to find one for her to get him. and so far this is what he has told me he wanted so far.

Look at the Geissele (sp?) 3-gun. Not technically a single stage, but the first stage is so light that it feels like one.

I'm pretty happy with the Mega Arms tactical trigger I put in mine back in October.

It's got pre-travel and over-travel adjustment as well as a real clean break. Plus it's less $$$ than those mentioned already.

I can't say much for the durability of it other than I've run a bunch of .223/5.56 and a shitload of 22lr through my rifle since installing it. Haven't heard much otherwise.

BTW, I have a Jard on a bushmaster. I like it a lot. It took some work to get adjusted to where I was happy with everyhting, but it is there and it feels great.

I have two of the Timney single stage drop in triggers and I'm very satisfied.   It's very easy to install and both have functioned flawlessly.   I have about 3000 rounds through the older one and about 1200 thru the newer one.

Same here.

I have used most of the others and now use Timneys exclusively.
