[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rail Length Selection

-I've always been a KISS guy when it comes to my guns but I'd like to get a quad rail

-How do I figure out what length of rail that I need? Do I just measure my foreguard?

-I see lots of "carbine" length and "CAR" length rails for sale but I'm not sure which set up applies to me.

The upper is an A1 Olympic upper 11.5" SBR. I measured the handguard length and it's 6" if you only count the actual handguard itself or 6 1/2" if you include the plastic tabs on each end that hold it down.

ok if you have a 11.5 carbine with a FSB then a 7 inch rail is what you are looking for or carbine length.
