Whats a good barrel company.. something preferably top of the line?

Top of the line would be noveske or Krieger

Good barrels would also include BCM, or WOA

What kind of a rifle are you planning on building?

depends, good accuracy Krieger, Rock, Lilja to name a few. Good CHF are BCM and DD.

Then whatever the military issues you.

Seriously though, Daniel Defense, BCM or Sabre Defence are all top quality barrels and on par with Colt.
