Just purchased a stripped Sabre lower. It obviously has never had a LPK installed as there are no marks anywhere.

My question is how old must it be?

The reason I ask this is all the recent Sabre lowers I see have the Sabre tiger emblem on the left side.

Mine has no emblem. Just the Sabre information, address, and serial number.

Any idea when they changed this. Not important, just curious.

You only get the Thunder Cat logo if you buy a complete rifle.  The stripped lowers they sell only have the text.

I bought a receiver two or so years ago-same thing. It is my understanding that they sell stripped receivers without the logo. That way it is easy for anyone to distinguish a factory-built rifle, may be other reasons I haven't heard.

Makes sense. I know they mark all their uppers and barrels where most don't.

Thank you both.

What do their regular stripped lowers usually sell for? Can't seem to find anyone that carries their lowers.

I bought mine off an individual, but it was as new.

I actually like the stripped sabre lowers because of the text only. guess i'm kind of a simple guy though. one of these days i'll have to get one.
